Tom Zachary Landscape Architects (TZLA) was licensed as a Landscape Architecture firm in 1992, following 11 years as a landscape design/build company.

Our firm’s design philosophy is based on responding to the client’s needs, vision and budget. We are responsive while being attentive to existing and proposed architecture and the site characteristics (slopes, views, sun exposure, vegetation, hydrology and soil conditions).

When available and an appropriate choice, we guide our clients in the selection of sustainable materials and systems.

At TZLA, we work with property and homeowners directly and/or with their architects, engineers, interior designers and other consultants.

We look, we listen, we talk and we draw. Then we direct the implemention of the design. Our primary purpose is to help our clients define their vision and bring it to life.
